Hairline cracks chased out prior to filling and sanding

This was a typical Internal Repairs internal decoration project. A substantial property that required a full renewal of all paintwork. There were also many hairline cracks throughout but especially on the ground floor. These had been caused by the fact that the home was the first built on the site and it had a large loft conversion and extension. This was a problem typical to all the houses on the street. However we chased out all the visible cracks and then backfilled them with an adhesive then filler before sanding and painting. This would cure the problem for the immediate future and far more effective than the cheaper solution of squeezing decorators filler (caulk) into the cracks and painting over!
The rest of the property was painted with white Dulux Trade Emulsion, and the woodwork sanded back before undercoating and finished with an acrylic eggshell
